2. Insights: the basics

The Insights Overview is the central place to understand how your customer base is performing and where impact is being created. This article gives you a walkthrough of the main features you’ll find in the Insights view.

1. Top Reports

At the top of the Insights view, you’ll find a summary of all customers. You can customize this section by going to Widget Settings and adjusting what is displayed.

You can hover your mouse over the ? inside a widget to find the definition of what is displayed.

2. Segments & Quick Filters

Under the top reports, you’ll see the Customer section. In this section you'll first see the Segments and Quick filters.

• Segments allow you to group customers (e.g. by market, customer phase, or size).
• Quick filters let you drill down further within a segment (e.g. on Impact area).

3. Properties

Below the filters, you’ll see the list of Properties available in ImpactPilot.

• Grey properties = existing properties that are directly pulled from HubSpot.
• Coloured properties = ImpactPilot Impact Drivers.

You can simply add properties by pressing on the blue button on the top left. Remember that these properties are being taken from HubSpot.

Additionally, you can format these properties to your liking by pressing on ⠇ next to a property.

1. Apply conditional formatting to highlight values
2. Format to the desired numeric value you would like to see
3. To display data over time you can create sparkline to show the trend.

4. Summary

The Insights Overview gives you a complete snapshot of:

• Key metrics across your portfolio.
• Segmentation of your customers.
• HubSpot and ImpactPilot properties in one view.
• Formatting and filtering options.
• Trends over time with sparklines.
